Math - times tables. Focus on 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 (up to 9 X 9). Your child should be concentrating on the times tables he/she finds difficult. Practise, practise, practise:)
Math - game. "Nice numbers that make 100." The instructions and the cards you need have been sent home in the homework duotang.
(Note to parents: As a refresher, the nice numbers that make 100 are : 90 and 10, 80 and 20, 70 and 30, 60 and 40, 50 and 50, 25 and 75, 5 and 95, 15 and 85, 35 and 65 and
45 and 55.)
Math - 10 questions. This is to practise 3-digit and 4-digit addition and subtraction. As always, once you are finished, try inventing some of your own.
Math - Bicycle odometer activity. This activity will help your child to understand "What number comes next?". (This is especially important for numbers that end with 9 - eg. 999, 3299, 4199, etc).
Math - Work on being able to recite the months of the year in order in French. Also, which is the first, second, third, etc. month?
French reading: To all students, please read the French book you have taken home and retell the story in your own words (in English or French) to your parents. What did you understand when you read your French book?
